About the role
Support development of systems for artificial-gravity human-rated space stations. Ensure consistent quality and reliability of supplier products and components.
What you’ll do
• Evaluate and onboard new suppliers with audits and assessments. • Maintain strong supplier relationships and address quality issues. • Collaborate with engineers on design for manufacturing reviews. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers. • Lead root cause and corrective action processes for quality escapes.
What you’ll bring
• Masters in Materials Science or related engineering discipline. • 5+ years in materials/process/quality engineering for metal products. • Knowledge of metallurgy, heat treatment, metal defects, welding. • Experience with AMS, ASTM standards and drawing-callout requirements. • Ability to travel up to 50% and lift up to 25 lbs unassisted.
