About the role
The Senior Sustaining Controls Engineer will diagnose and resolve complex system issues to improve product reliability and reduce maintenance. They bridge hardware and software gaps across the linear generator fleet and manufacturing processes.
What you’ll do
• Manage and document fleet issues with clear communication. • Diagnose root causes of mechanical, electrical, and software problems. • Collaborate with teams to enhance system behavior. • Debug and improve control algorithms in C++. • Use Python for data analysis and system diagnostics.
What you’ll bring
• Experience in root cause analysis of software-mechatronic systems. • Self-directed systems thinker with sustaining engineering skills. • Excellent communicator across multidisciplinary teams. • Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering with controls focus. • Senior level with BS and six years or MS and five years experience.
