About the role
Lead and grow the mechanical engineering team for drone platforms. Own the mechanical engineering roadmap and oversee full product design lifecycle from concept to production.
What you’ll do
• Build and lead mechanical engineering team for drone airframes and structures. • Set technical direction on weight, strength, aerodynamics, and payload tradeoffs. • Guide integration of propulsion, batteries, avionics, and payloads. • Oversee structural, thermal, and vibration analysis and validate designs. • Hire, mentor, and manage mechanical engineers' performance and development.
What you’ll bring
• BS/MS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering. • 12+ years designing hardware and shipping products. • 7+ years leading mechanical engineering teams. • Experience designing flight vehicles or flight-critical structures. • Proficiency in CAD, SolidWorks preferred.
