About the role
Perform professional services to ensure medical services are efficiently accomplished and reimbursement maximized through third-party payer interaction.
What you’ll do
• Initiate and facilitate pre-determination process. • Contact insurance companies for benefit verification and pre-certification. • Maintain surgery/procedure schedule for department faculty. • Keep written log of all pre-certifications in process. • Notify hospital utilization/billing department of pre-certification.
What you’ll bring
• High school diploma or equivalent. • 2 years medical office experience. • No specific certification required. • Preferred: Associate degree. • Preferred: CPC or RHIT certification.
