About the role
The Payer Specialist ensures timely billing and accurate insurance information for all payers. They collaborate with teams to prevent denials and follow up on accounts receivable.
What you’ll do
• Ensure timely billing for all payers. • Maintain accurate patient ledger notes. • Verify insurance information and resolve discrepancies. • Communicate with payers via phone and email. • Manage third-party vendors for claim payments.
What you’ll bring
• High school diploma or GED. • 3 years experience in healthcare payer environment. • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access. • Excellent oral communication and phone presence. • Experience with EMR systems, Raintree a plus.
