About the role
Lead Medefer's ophthalmology service, develop clinical workforce, and shape safe, effective pathways. Support clinical governance and ensure compliance with quality standards.
What you’ll do
• Define ophthalmology service scope and referral pathways. • Design access to ophthalmic exams and diagnostic tests. • Establish escalation and referral routes for urgent care. • Lead specialty workforce recruitment and performance management. • Participate in Clinical Governance Committee and audit quality.
What you’ll bring
• Substantive consultant with 3+ years ophthalmology practice. • Full GMC registration and specialist registration. • Experience in clinical audit and quality improvement. • Ability to lead clinicians and manage concerns. • Interest in digital healthcare and remote care capabilities.
