About the role
Design and develop mechanical systems and mechanisms for Starshield satellites. Work on architecture, simulation, and controls of electromechanical systems.
What you’ll do
• Own hardware and mechanisms from design to on-orbit operations. • Develop design criteria and drive system-level optimization. • Iterate designs to inform systems trades and product direction. • Drive design for manufacturing and error-proofing. • Perform environmental and performance testing on hardware.
What you’ll bring
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or STEM discipline. • Experience with CAD or FEA software. • 1+ years mechanical or electromechanical design experience. • Ability to work long hours and weekends as needed. • Ability to travel to SpaceX and partner locations.
