About the role
Join Kong as a Forward Deployed Engineer to support government customers and accelerate adoption of Kong’s API and AI Connectivity platform through hands-on implementation and solution engineering.
What you’ll do
• Partner with enterprise customers to design and implement Kong solutions. • Lead implementation of API gateways, AI gateways, and service mesh. • Build automation frameworks and migration tooling. • Drive migration from legacy API platforms to Kong. • Collaborate with product teams to influence roadmap priorities.
What you’ll bring
• 8+ years in customer-facing or platform engineering roles. • Strong software engineering and implementation experience. • Experience with API gateways and distributed systems. • Expertise in Kubernetes and cloud-native infrastructure. • Proficiency in Python, Go, Java, JavaScript, or Lua.
