Electrical Power Systems Engineer II

About the role
Perform avionics and power system analysis for spacecraft missions to assess design margin, risk, and compatibility. Support spacecraft power component testing and system integration.
What you’ll do
• Perform power and avionics design and analysis for mission concepts. • Develop and perform trade studies for technical and programmatic decisions. • Support development of component specifications and system requirements. • Coordinate with technical partners and vendors through development cycle. • Provide real-time operational support from mission control center.
What you’ll bring
• 2-4 years experience in power systems for aerospace or high reliability industry. • B.S. in Electrical, Computer, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering or equivalent. • Ability to perform complex analysis and synthesize results. • Familiarity with solar photovoltaic and lithium-ion battery technology preferred. • Experience with power budgeting, SPICE, FMEA, and spacecraft environmental tests.
