About the role
The BESS/PV Engineer is the technical authority for SunStrong's solar PV and battery energy storage projects. The role involves design review, technical oversight, commissioning, performance validation, and safety compliance.
What you’ll do
• Lead technical review of PV and BESS design packages. • Review submittals, RFIs, and engineering change requests. • Witness commissioning activities and validate test results. • Perform root cause analysis on failures and underperformance. • Maintain technical records and verify turnover documentation.
What you’ll bring
• Bachelor's degree in electrical or related engineering. • Five+ years solar PV and/or battery energy storage experience. • Professional Engineer license preferred or EIT with path. • Knowledge of NEC, IEEE, NFPA, UL standards and utility requirements. • Proficiency with PVsyst, AutoCAD, and power-system study software.
