About the role
Join the North America Risk Prevention team to build real-time risk and fraud prevention systems for Wise's largest market. Help protect customers and the business by developing scalable, low-latency backend solutions.
What you’ll do
• Design low-latency, high-throughput backend systems. • Collaborate with Data Scientists and Analysts daily. • Develop risk infrastructure for Instant ACH feature. • Ensure operational excellence with monitoring and reliability. • Expand risk coverage including AML and sanctions screening.
What you’ll bring
• 4+ years with Java, Kotlin, or JVM languages. • Deep knowledge of Spring framework. • Experience with Kafka, Kafka Streams, or Apache Flink. • Strong understanding of JDBC and database optimization. • Experience with CI/CD and distributed systems.
