About the role
Build and operate a Rust-based graph data service supporting GitLab analytics and AI features. Deliver backend features, improve reliability, and collaborate asynchronously across teams.
What you’ll do
• Implement backend features in Rust Knowledge Graph service. • Maintain integrations with GitLab platform components. • Contribute to system design for reliability and scalability. • Improve operational maturity with metrics and runbooks. • Collaborate asynchronously with product and AI teams.
What you’ll bring
• Experience building and maintaining backend systems. • Proficiency in modern backend language; interest in Rust. • Exposure or motivation for distributed data systems. • Interest in graph data modeling and query patterns. • Comfort working in a low-process, high-ownership environment.
