About the role
Join GitLab's Change Record team to build a trustworthy record of code changes using Ruby on Rails. This backend role balances maintaining existing systems and developing new product features.
What you’ll do
• Develop features using Ruby on Rails and GraphQL. • Deliver solutions balancing complex requirements and legacy constraints. • Design backend services, APIs, and data models. • Collaborate asynchronously and synchronously across teams. • Monitor production health and participate in on-call duties.
What you’ll bring
• Experience building backend web applications with Ruby and GraphQL. • Knowledge of databases, caching, and backend performance. • Full-stack development experience. • Ability to write backend unit and integration tests. • Clear English communication and ownership mindset.
