Automation & Controls Engineer, Launch Hardware Production

About the role
This role owns the controls that build Starship, designing, commissioning, and operating automation behind production systems. You will ensure uptime and troubleshoot issues in a large-scale Starship refurbishment facility.
What you’ll do
• Design and commission controls for 24-lane production tooling and factory services. • Operate and maintain industrial air separation units and instrumentation. • Manage controls for heat shield tile manufacturing processes. • Stand up new equipment and maintain uptime in production. • Develop and upgrade data acquisition and control systems.
What you’ll bring
• Bachelor's in physics, electrical or computer engineering. • 6+ months experience with data acquisition systems. • Experience with PLC and industrial networks like Modbus or PROFINET. • Knowledge of instrumentation in classified and cryogenic service. • Ability to pass Air Force background check and perform physical job duties.
