About the role
Build and extend data pipelines and platform components with mentorship. Support data quality, monitoring, and operational tasks in a hybrid Cape Town role.
What you’ll do
• Build and extend batch and streaming pipeline components. • Configure BigQuery tables and Cloud Storage buckets. • Build monitoring dashboards and alerting for pipelines. • Help investigate incidents and maintain runbooks. • Follow security, governance, and cost best practices.
What you’ll bring
• 1–3 years in software or data engineering. • Programming in Scala, Java, or Python. • Solid SQL fundamentals and query understanding. • Eagerness to learn Spark, Kafka, Airflow, GCP. • Clear communication and willingness for on-call work.
