About the role
Provide legal support and guidance for GoodLeap’s Servicing Team on loan servicing and collections law. Advise on compliance, loss mitigation, collections strategy, and regulatory matters affecting serviced loan portfolios.
What you’ll do
• Lead compliance analysis under Reg X, Reg Z, FDCPA, UDAAP, TCPA. • Draft and maintain loss mitigation and collections policies. • Advise on legal risks and structuring for investment products. • Monitor regulatory developments and implement new rules. • Review and negotiate vendor contracts for collections and default management.
What you’ll bring
• 10+ years as practicing attorney in loan servicing or collections. • Deep knowledge of servicing and consumer debt collections laws. • Experience advising on loss mitigation and post-default strategy. • Membership in state bar and Juris Doctor degree. • Strong communication and ability to manage multiple workstreams.
