Accountant (Supermarket)

About the role
Manage day-to-day accounting activities of a supermarket including sales, cash, bank transactions, purchases, expenses, suppliers, and inventory. Ensure compliance with financial controls and accurate record keeping.
What you’ll do
• Assist with monthly management accounts and bank reconciliations. • Record and monitor operating expenses and petty cash. • Prepare daily/weekly sales, cash, stock and financial reports. • Verify supplier invoices and monitor outstanding balances. • Monitor inventory transactions and reconcile physical stock.
What you’ll bring
• 1–3 years relevant accounting experience preferred. • B.Sc. / HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related discipline. • Experience with POS systems and reconciliations. • Strong numerical and analytical skills. • Good Excel and accounting software skills.
